Yes see File - save object list
you can backup the main configuration by copying the config file in

c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\ispy\xml\config.xml

I had a problem with iSPY. I lost all program configuration and camera configuration after a hang up. iSpy started as it was recently installed.

Can this be possible? Now I re-configured everything and I want to know how to backup all program configuration and camera configuration (please step by step).

Save object list not present in program (just backup configuration in .ispy file)

"Save object list not present in program (just backup configuration in .ispy file)"

it should be - click the file menu. The object list is the .ispy file.

Once again had to reconfigure everything, since backups only partially worked.
So want to make sure I know how to backup EVERYTHING:
- iSpy options - ALL
- Storage directories
- Cam & mic / object settings
- ALL else that might need to be backed up

Hope there is a way to do this.
Thanks

And would like to submit suggestion for an easy way to do this.
... why backup just the object list?

I just had iSpy tell me my config was corrupt and I lost all my setup.

If iSpy is going to delete my config then it should also back them up.

If there was a problem with the config I would have liked to have a look but insteadiSpy just replaces the file with a default one.

This is not a good way to handle corrupt config files.

Considering a security setup is supposed to be reliable, I have to say that this is a big deal breaker.

Really wish this software had some real improvements and actual developement.

In addition to the original poster I have to say to me (1 home cam so far) it seems a deal breaker too that there are no options like making a full backup and I agree there is no real progression in development. I've had the problem again after months of a (stuttering) working situation. Eventually I thought of getting the AppData folder AND the Program Files folder from my Backup. That worked. The .iSpy file did not perform as expected.

By the way. The stuttering is the fact that iSpy every once in a while stops working on an Wifi ipcam. All I need to do is restart iSpy. A bit strange iSpy doesn't try to reconnect by itself. I NEVER have to restart the cam. So the cam is definitely not the problem. It has been on and working since August last year. On average the software needs a reboot once every three days.
