where is ISPY server

Postby tomrdew » Fri Jan 06, 2017 8:50 pm

I am trying to connect a couple of PC's usb camera's to my main PC. User Manual say's to install ISPY Server on the other 2 PC's. I can't find the download. Also i have ispy running on all PC's. When I look at the usb camera I don't find any url showing up. The usb camera works ok on the ispy on it's computer. Any help or suggestions ?

iSpy server installer is located in the iSpy install directory "C:\Program Files\iSpy\iSpyServer" you can copy the file "iSpyServerSetup.msi" to any other PC and run it.

Thanks for the reply! Yes I found it and fired it up. Will now post a problem that ISPY does not see the USB Camera that's added to ISPY sever on another PC. Ispy won't connect to it still.

iSpy server effectively turns your USB camera into an IP camera. If you are trying to add it to iSpy as a USB camera you will not see it. You need the IP address and port of the computer with the camera ie: http://192.168.x.yy:256/?camid=0
I used iSpy server with USB cameras for a couple of years until I moved to all IP cameras. It was very stable for me.

For details see https://www.ispyconnect.com/userguide-ispy-server.aspx

EDIT: Sorry I had not seen your other post, seems you are already doing all the right steps.
