Re: 6.9.1 (64 bit) Slow to respond, no recordings some days

New Information: I have found that the program is still freezing periodically, although not permanently and not NEARLY as often. I was reviewing recordings for yesterday and found a 1 hour period without video. The previous freeze seems to be 3 days prior to that. This may be two problems in one: 1)...

Re: 6.9.1 (64 bit) Slow to respond, no recordings some days

I have new information. I believe I have found a related problem that *might* even be the root cause (as far as I can investigate, since I can't investigate the code): I'm using a 2 TB External HDD, and I have my Storage Management set to 400,000 MB, and set to DELETE files over 90 days old when at ...

6.9.1 (64 bit) Slow to respond, no recordings some days

I'm using v6.9.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 8 machine with 8GB ram. The program has become almost unusable. It is slow to respond when it does respond. Most of the time I have to restart the program to look at old video. I'll click a button and it will do nothing. Views will freeze for several seconds at...

Re: release 6.8.0.0 - great release

Guys, having posted previous critical comments on versions since 6.5.8.0 - loaded 6.8.0.0 - perfomance problems gone, can use new additions. credit & respect to the developers. STILL the best Surveilance sofware around & just got better Two of the problems we've been having are Noise Suppre...

Re: Noise Suppression Broken?

It us true that Noise suppression is much less effective now. I activated "Border highlighting" display style and compared 6.5.8.0 with the latest. The difference is obvious. It appears that the newer foscam FI9800P cameras are affected the most. Other cameras not so much so practically t...

Re: Noise Suppression Broken?

Update: I was wrong. Raising the noise suppression levels worked around the problem with memory usage, but the program still froze and became unusable, albeit only once and never actually crashed. The problem still remains that after so many hours of usage, the recordings freeze completely, and the ...

Re: Memory leaks...

Update: Problem still exists, after I've changed the noise levels. Although the problem is different. RAM used was only up to about 1.8 GB as opposed to 16 GB, though the program still froze and became unusable. So, there's more to this problem than I originally thought.

Noise Suppression Broken?

I don't think this qualifies as a bug, but rather a complaint about a recent change in one of the last few versions. I don't know where else to post. I've seen a couple of posts about motion detection bugs and memory leaks, which I've posted on, but I think the real problem lies here: After updating...

Re: Memory leaks...

I think I figured out where the problem lies. Something seems to have changed in the noise suppression algorithms in one of the last few updates, because my motion detection settings are picking up a lot more noise than in previous versions. I realized after a restart that all my cameras were record...

Re: Memory leaks...

Also using 64 bit v. 6.7.3.0 on Windows 8 with the same issue. Program crashes several times a day due to memory leaks. Event viewer only shows a RestartManager warning that iSpyMonitor.exe could not be restarted because the application SID does not match the Conductor SID. I updated to 6.7.7.0 to s...
