Re: Looks for suggestions on continuous recording

what kind of specific time lapse parameters to use? On the 'Recording' tab set recording mode to no recording. Tick the timelapse box. Set movie interval to 1 second (or however often you wish to have the frames apart). Set images interval to 0 seconds. Set Save every to however long you want the v...

Re: iSpy can't see my NAS (Windows can)

Has anyone else experienced this issue - Explorer can see server drive and has full RW permissions. But iSpy can only see the local drive. This is bloody hopeless in a package that is otherwise excellent in so many ways. It's a fundamental problem that really has gone on for too long and needs fixed...

Re: Looks for suggestions on continuous recording

Turn all movement detection off. Turn Timelapse on and define the parameters. I have 14 cameras running at 1fps and saving their files after every 6 hours. Filenames are defined and so very easy to manage into folders. Turn grabs off also or you'll end up with 275gazillion-trillion files and your se...

Recording quality

One of my cameras is a Foscam FI9901EP and looking at it direct via my network provides a brilliant quality piccie. However, on a different PC running iSpy and recording 1fps time-lapse, that same camera is fuzzy and of the same quality as my cheaper 1MP cameras. Same hardware, same monitor. Have I ...

Re: Can iSpy take advantage of edge storage on IP camera?

Don't think so but if your camera has an SD slot then it will also have the ability to record straight to SD card. Why complicate the issue?

Out of interest, what's the camera?

Re: iSpy can't see my NAS (Windows can)

Has reverted back to the same issue as before, ie iSpy unable to see network drives that are otherwise visible to W10. In my view, iSpy has a fundamental flaw that will need to be adressed. In it's current state, it's so variable as to be unuseable and if I were to release such flakey software, I'd ...

Re: iSpy can't see my NAS (Windows can)

Addendum for the record, problem fixed by doing this: 1. Saved the config (object list) then shut iSpy down. 2. Removed all trace of iSpy from PC. 3. Removed all mention of iSpy from the 'Allow thru firewall' setup. 4. Ran System Mechanic and cleaned up registry - it found numerous old versions stil...
